CoolSculpting at our Atlanta med spa is one of our most popular procedures for many reasons.
- First, it works when performed on the right patients. That’s a good thing when you live in a climate like Atlanta’s where you want to be able to wear clothing that shows off your trim arms, legs, and abs for much of the year.
- Second, there’s no downtime following the procedure so you can jump right back into your daily routine.
- Third, our humid climate helps keep your skin hydrated and supple, so it’s better able to conform to your new contours once you’ve “frozen” away your unwanted fat.
To get the most out of this groundbreaking, nonsurgical fat reduction treatment, however, we recommend you do 4 things before scheduling your first CoolSculpting appointment.
Here they are:
1. Lose weight if you’re 10 pounds or more above your ideal weight.
Some patients believe CoolSculpting is a weight loss procedure. It is not. It’s a targeted fat reduction treatment for removing stubborn fat bulges that remain even for people who exercise and eat a healthy diet. It can tone the flanks or a small stomach pooch, but CoolSculpting won’t take 10 pounds off your abdomen.
2. Expect to have multiple treatments.
After a single treatment, CoolSculpting results vary from patient to patient. Even though most patients see some differences after the initial procedure, other patients may need 2 or 3 treatments to get the desired results.
3. Budget for your CoolSculpting cost.
We develop a treatment plan for our Atlanta patients and provide a price estimate so you know what to expect. Part of your preparation should be to budget enough to accommodate your treatment plan, whether that involves multiple treatments or complementary procedures like EMSCULPT® or laser hair removal.
To make this process more accommodating, we offer financing through CareCredit®, a company that specializes in setting up payment programs for elective health care services.
4. Prepare to maintain your results.
CoolSculpting treatments often motivate patients to remain active and to continue living a healthy lifestyle. Creating an exercise and diet plan—if you don’t already have one—is the best way to maintain your CoolSculpting results. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to stay active in the Atlanta area, from taking the walk-up trail to the top of Stone Mountain or biking along the Beltline to enjoying some of our dozens of indoor rock climbing, pickleball, or sports facilities.
