2004–Present: Attending Surgeon, Solo, Private Practice – Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery, Atlanta, Georgia

Surgical practice consisting mainly of cosmetic patients with some reconstructive surgery, particularly for skin cancers and nasal reconstruction. Busy office practice consisting of skin-care, lasers, injectables and peels. Surgical procedures generally performed at onsite AAAHC accredited surgery center, with admitting privileges at area hospitals. Responsible for maintaining surgery center accreditation as well as day-to-day of office practice. Occasional teaching commitments at Emory University’s level-1 trauma center as Clinical Instructor covering mostly facial trauma cases. Actively involved in quality control, clinical research and community education.

2003–2004: Fellowship, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery, Atlanta, Georgia

Hands-on training in all areas of facial plastic surgery with special emphasis on cosmetic procedures and revision rhinoplasty. Assistant to all surgical cases with gradual progression to primary surgeon by the end of the fellowship. Teaching responsibilities at the Emory affiliated teaching hospitals included Attending resident scheduled facial plastics cases at the Level-I trauma center, and presenting facial plastics topics during the Emory residents lecture series. Call required at local hospitals, general otolaryngology- emergency coverage, one week per month. Original research project was required, completed and submitted for publication.

1999–2003: Residency, Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery – Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia

Responsible for the medical as well as surgical management of patients affected by disorders of the ears, nose and throat, the respiratory and upper alimentary systems, and related structures of the head and neck. Five hospitals were rotated through including pediatric, county, private, veterans administration and academic hospitals providing comprehensive training in all areas of otolaryngology. Duties included day to day medical management of in and outpatients, with advancing surgical responsibilities, progressing from surgical assistance to performance with and without supervision of the most advanced surgical techniques in general otolaryngology. Emergency call rotations were required at all hospitals, with call rotation generally every other night. A six-month research rotation was performed with original research design, culminating in publication. Attendance at weekly Grand rounds, tumor boards, pathology conferences, radiology conferences and journal clubs were integral facets of training. Annual inservice examinations were administered.
